About Us

Nathan was born and raised in a small logging community of Oregon before joining the military at 17. After 21 years of service (and a couple years of floundering), he became a REALTOR with a desire to specialize in Property Management. Nathan has been the Broker / Owner of American West Realty and Management since 2010. He is a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He has served on the Northwest Wyoming Board of REALTORS as the Treasurer and currently as a Director. Nathan is an active investor and volunteer Moderator of BiggerPockets.com, the world's largest online real estate investment platform. If you are interested in real estate investing, reach out!

Nathan and Angie have three adopted children and actively support a variety of organizations throughout the Basin.

Angie is a Cody native, graduating in 1985. She attended Northwest College and then finished her degree in Accounting at the University of Colorado. She later became a massage therapist, specializing in sports and deep-tissue massage. She did bookkeeping for a variety of small businesses over the years and was excited to own a business with her husband. As the company grew, Angie saw a need for expanding the company into sales. She obtained her license in 2014 and is now a successful sales agent and Associate Broker.

Kristi is a Property Manager and sales agent. Originally a Colorado native, she has also lived in Germany and Georgia. Her family relocated to Wyoming in 2017. Along with her husband and two sons, she operates a small homestead between Ralston and Cody, where they keep bees, wrangle chickens and grow tasty food. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, eating, gardening and sitting on her porch.

Born and raised in Park County, Christi has a love for anything outdoors. From hiking with her husband to playing in the water with their dogs, Christi knows the area inside and out and can help you find the perfect match for you and your family. Whether you are looking for your first home or your fifth; a fixer-upper or move-in ready, Christi will listen to your wants and needs and will work tirelessly on your behalf to get you in the home of your dreams. With years of experience in marketing at a large mortgage company, Christi knows how to market your property aggressively to get a buyer attracted quickly. Megan's Family moved to the family farm in Powell, Wyoming when she was a year old, so she has alway considered this her home. She loved working on the farm and raising animals. Megan enjoys arts and crafts as well as building things. She loves the outdoors, to include hiking, horseback riding, and fishing, just to name a few. She loves the area and is proud to say that she is here to stay. She has worked in the customer service industry for her whole working career and loves every minute of it. She enjoys bringing a smile to people's faces and loves helping any way she can.

When I am not hard at work for my clients you can find me volunteering in our community and enjoying all that the outdoors have to offer alongside my wonderful husband, 2 sons, and 2 doggos. From hunting to fishing and camping in between, I LOVE our way of living! Every May, you can find me paddle fishing in the Breaks and every free weekend in the summer I am probably drowning worms in the river. My most memorable catch so far? A 46” sturgeon out of Upper Missouri with a good ole’ hook & worm.

I also find immense joy in cooking for others. From baking desserts and cakes to full-on dinner parties, feeding people delicious food is my jam! So, if you’re hungry, consider this your formal invitation to dinner with the Braaten’s!
