Prospective Tenants

Information provided by prospective tenants is primarily used to obtain consumer reports, conduct credit and background checks, and verify rental history, employment, or income. Information contained in an application or consumer report may be discussed with property owners for whom we manage property.

We may also report information to consumer reporting agencies when permitted by law.

Property Owners

When we act as a property manager, we use an owner’s personal information to:

  • Deliver contracted management services
  • File required reports with governmental agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service
  • Establish authorized ACH deposits or payments
  • Arrange utilities or related property services
  • Carry out other purposes authorized by the owner

Real Estate Clients and Customers

When we represent or assist a buyer, seller, landlord, tenant, or other client, we may provide information to service providers at the client’s direction or when reasonably necessary to deliver the requested services.

These service providers may include mortgage lenders, title companies, attorneys, inspectors, contractors, insurance providers, property owners, property managers, and other parties involved in a transaction.

If we represent or assist a prospective tenant, information may be discussed with or provided to property owners or their agents with the tenant’s knowledge and as reasonably necessary to complete the transaction.

Terms and Conditions

  1. We use SMS to confirm appointments, send reminders, and notify clients of schedule updates or important changes.
  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP.” After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, sign up as you did the first time, and we will begin sending SMS messages to you again.
  3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or contact us directly at support@rentawr.com.
  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  5. Message and data rates may apply to messages sent to you from us and to messages sent from you to us. Message frequency may vary. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

Property owners do not receive unrestricted access to personal information in company files. We may, however, discuss relevant information from a tenant’s consumer report or lease application with the property owner.

Copies of personal information may be provided to a property owner:

  1. With the tenant’s consent;
  2. When reasonably necessary and legally permitted; or
  3. If we cease managing the property and the files are properly transferred to the owner, the owner’s attorney, or a new property manager.

Personal information from buyers, sellers, landlords, or tenants may be discussed with mortgage lenders, title companies, prospective landlords, and other parties when reasonably necessary to provide requested services or complete a transaction.

We may also disclose information in response to court orders, subpoenas, governmental investigations, legal requirements, or lawful requests from law enforcement.

Disposal of Personal Information

Company personnel may not destroy company records without appropriate authorization.
